Collection: Cyanotypes – Original Botanical Prints

This collection features a series of hand-crafted cyanotypes, each one made using the historic photographic printing process first introduced in the 19th century. These distinctive blue-toned prints are created from original tree drawings, exposed by sunlight and developed in water—a slow, mindful process that reflects the patience of the trees themselves.

Printed by hand on 300gsm cold-pressed watercolour paper, every piece is completely unique, bearing the subtle marks, brushstrokes, and chemical quirks of its making. No two are ever quite the same.

These cyanotypes celebrate the quiet character of trees—bent, bold, weeping, or reaching—and offer a different way of seeing the same faithful companions that populate my sketchbooks and walks.

Whether hung alone or as a small grove of prints, they carry with them something timeless: a meeting of art, chemistry, and deep observation.

Let me know if you’d like an alternate version for a more poetic, more technical, or more humorous tone. And when you’re ready, I can also do product titles, descriptions, alt text, and meta for each one. 🌒🌲
