A4 Hay-on-Wye – Original Handmade Cyanotype

An original handmade A4 cyanotype created from my own photograph taken near Hay-on-Wye. The image focuses on a mature tree standing alone in an open field, its dense, irregular canopy dominating the surrounding landscape.

The work combines digital photography with the historic cyanotype process, developed in the 1840s. The paper is hand-coated, exposed under ultraviolet light and developed in water, producing its distinctive Prussian blue tones. Natural variations in colour, texture and brush marks make every print unique.
