A4 Lickey Hills Hawthorn – Original Handmade Cyanotype

An original handmade cyanotype created from my own photograph of a hawthorn at Lickey Hills, near Birmingham. Photographed on a misty morning, its dense network of bare branches emerges against the softened landscape.

The work combines digital photography with the historic cyanotype process, developed in the 1840s. The paper is hand-coated, exposed under ultraviolet light and developed in water, producing its distinctive Prussian blue tones. Natural variations in colour, texture and brush marks make every print unique.
