A4 Warley Woods – Original Handmade Cyanotype

An original handmade A4 cyanotype created from my own photograph taken at Warley Woods, near Birmingham. The image focuses on a broad-canopied tree standing alone in the open parkland, its dense foliage casting a wide shadow across the grass.

The work combines digital photography with the historic cyanotype process, developed in the 1840s. The paper is hand-coated, exposed under ultraviolet light and developed in water, producing its distinctive Prussian blue tones. Natural variations in colour, texture and brush marks make every print unique.
