A4 Lickey Pines – Original Handmade Cyanotype

An original handmade A4 cyanotype created from my own photograph taken at Lickey Hills, near Birmingham. The image focuses a number of pine trees standing across the distance on a foggy morning.

The work combines digital photography with the historic cyanotype process, developed in the 1840s. The paper is hand-coated, exposed under ultraviolet light and developed in water, producing its distinctive Prussian blue tones. Natural variations in colour, texture and brush marks make every print unique.
