A small framed tree tile featuring an original ink drawing of a tree in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, drawn directly onto a hand-cast cement tile by Birmingham artist Warren Garland (Warren Drawing Trees).
The tree stands tall and upright, its canopy full and structured — fine ink line building into a composed, substantial form. The Jewellery Quarter is one of Birmingham’s most distinctive historic neighbourhoods, its Victorian streets and independent character making it one of the city’s most searched and visited areas. This tree was drawn there on location, quietly observed amid the urban fabric.
Part of an ongoing body of tree studies made on location across Birmingham and the UK, this is a one-of-a-kind original — not a print or reproduction. Drawn directly onto hand-cast cement tile using archival black ink, the natural tonal shifts and surface variations of the cement remain visible, ensuring no two tiles are identical.
Framed in a bespoke natural wood frame and presented in a custom box, it is ready to collect or give.
