Saint Marks Dalston is a limited edition A3 giclée print by UK artist Warren Garland, based on an original ink drawing of a singular tree from St Mark’s churchyard in Dalston, London. With a bowed form and striking silhouette, this tree feels like it’s praying, weeping, or perhaps just weather-worn in style.

Printed on 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag using archival pigment inks, this edition retains the full depth and texture of the original linework. Each print is signed, titled, and numbered on the front, with a signature also on the reverse.

  • A3 size (29.7 x 42 cm) – ready for standard frames
  • Printed on 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag
  • Archival pigment inks (fade-resistant and non-yellowing)
  • Limited edition of 100
  • Signed, titled, and numbered by the artist
  • Ships flat with protective, eco-conscious packaging
  • Original artwork belongs to a private collection

This tree stands within the grounds of St Mark’s Church, Dalston—one of East London’s largest parish churches, often called the Cathedral of the East. Built in 1877–80, the church features a working turret barometer, possibly the only one of its kind in Europe.

The tree grows in the churchyard garden, among shrubs and mature trees, just around the corner from where Mike Leigh filmed Naked.

A piece that blends history, local character, and quiet reverence—it’s botanical portraiture with a nod to psychogeography.
