This is the positive cyanotype version of the Malvern Leaner, where the image is flipped from its original negative. The tree, once white against a deep blue sky, now stands in rich indigo on a light background — bolder, quieter, and somehow more rooted.

The original drawing was made from life, sitting on a slope in Malvern, where this tree grows at a gravity-defying angle. Transferring the ink to a cyanotype gives it a whole new atmosphere — a calm echo of the original, captured using a traditional light-sensitive printing process.
