An original hand-printed cyanotype of the weeping silver birch at Highcliffe Castle, Dorset, by Birmingham artist Warren Garland (Warren Drawing Trees).
First drawn in ink on location opposite Highcliffe Castle, the drawing is here reimagined through the cyanotype process — rendered in rich indigo and deep Prussian blue, the cascading branches emerging in fine white line against the characteristic blue ground. The tree has a kind of theatrical flair, its sweeping form mid-performance on a coastal stage.
Made using traditional cyanotype techniques, hand-coated and exposed using sunlight onto 300gsm acid-free fine art paper. Slight variations in tone, brushstroke, and edge are part of the process and make every piece entirely unique. This is a one-of-a-kind print — only one available.
