Highcliffe Silver Birch is a limited edition A3 giclée print created from an original ink drawing of a mature weeping silver birch drawn on location opposite Highcliffe Castle, Dorset, by Birmingham artist Warren Garland (Warren Drawing Trees).
The tree stands just outside a classic 1970s purpose-built block, its soft cascading foliage balanced against clean structural lines. Over the years the architecture has held its shape, but the tree has grown into its own presence — settled, mature, and quietly beautiful. This drawing captures that moment of fullness: a tree entirely at ease with its surroundings.
In winter, silver birches can look sparse and exposed; in spring they transform, fresh foliage gathering into a sculptural canopy that is almost architectural in itself — full of movement and light. This print captures that spring fullness, the layered texture of the foliage opening up at A3 scale to give the piece a calm, confident hold on the wall.
Printed on museum-grade Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm using archival pigment inks, each print preserves the depth, softness, and fine detail of the original drawing.
Part of an ongoing body of tree studies made on location across the UK by Warren Garland, this print is from a strictly limited edition of 25 — signed, titled, and hand-numbered by the artist.
