This original cyanotype is the positive version of the Athens Parasol Tree — the same tree as the negative print, but in reverse. In this version, the tree emerges in deep indigo on a pale background, giving the piece a brighter, more sculptural feel. The trunk and canopy take on new presence, like it’s just been lit from within.

Each cyanotype is made using a traditional process where light-sensitive paper is exposed to sunlight and developed in water. No two are identical — every one catches subtle differences in tone, texture, and brushstroke.
