Moseley Shelter, Ink Drawing on Hand-Casted Cement Tile

Hand drawn with light fast inks on 5 cm x 5 cm hand cast snow cement tile.

I sheltered underneath this tree/trees on the way back from the supermarket on the 2nd of January. My shopping bags were packed with bland items to satisfy my New Year’s resolutions and were dripping with the fresh year’s rain drops.

Also sheltering underneath the tree was an old Asian woman, we exchanged a friendly glance and made the appropriate conversation about the weather and then she left, braving the torrent of cold rain and leaving me to contemplate my existence, my future and what dull food I was going to cook when I got into the house.
